Elite rugby at the highest level in the Netherlands.
The First XV, the pride of the club. Haarlem 1 plays in the Ereklasse, the highest level of Dutch rugby. The squad is made up largely of players who came through RFC Haarlem's own youth programme, joined by talented players from other Dutch and foreign clubs.

Our ambition? To compete for the national title! With our Haarlem style of play we stand for fast, physical and tactical rugby, inspired by the modern South African game.
Men's 1 matches are an experience. Spectacular play, tense battles and a fight to the final minute. Our well-attended home matches create a fantastic atmosphere along the touchline. Feel the tension, soak up the atmosphere and support Haarlem 1!

The bridge from Colts to the First XV. Young players who are ready for the next step. Haarlem 2 plays in the Future Klasse, a league designed specifically to develop young rugby talent under 24 and move them on to the highest level of Dutch rugby: the Ereklasse.
The squad is made up mainly of talented players coming through RFC Haarlem's own youth programme, joined by a few experienced players who pass their knowledge and experience on to the next generation.
Talent development is at the heart of the Future programme. Players are given the room to develop further physically, technically and tactically, and to gain experience at a highly competitive level.

The Haarlem 1 squad trains together with the Future Klasse (U24) squad, to make the step up to the Ereklasse as smooth as possible. This is how we build a strong link at RFC Haarlem between our youth programme, the Future team and the first team, with plenty of opportunities for homegrown talent.
Alongside regular training, there are strength and conditioning sessions several times a week. These sessions are run at our own ground under the guidance of a specialist Strength & Conditioning coach.
