More than 250 youth players across seven age groups. Get to know rugby and its values through play. Fun comes first, with the chance, if you want it, to progress to the highest level in the Netherlands.
Our youth are the heart of the club. Through rugby, children learn by playing to work together, keep going and respect each other and the referee. You develop not only physically, but also build character. Boys and girls play and train together under the guidance of professional coaches. From age 5 you are welcome at the Muggen.
Fun comes first. Children get to know the elements of the game and the rugby values: respect, teamwork and discipline matter most. The youngest youth (MTBM) consists of four age groups: Muggen, Turven, Benjamins and Mini's. Up to and including the Mini's there is no league, but there are small tournaments on Saturday.

Our youngest members. This is where you start playing rugby.

02 · U8
Tag rugby: you grab a tag from your opponent. That is how you learn the basics, still without tackling. From the second year, regular small tournaments.

03 · U10
Learning first contact in a safe way. Small tournaments on Saturday with other clubs in the region.

04 · U12
Small tournaments on Saturday, with the national Minidagen as the highlight.
From 12 to 18 there are two teams at each age level, each with certified coaches and support. That way every player develops at their own level. Anyone who wants to play at the highest level in the Netherlands (and perhaps for Oranje) gets extra support and their own learning pathway.

Values and standards in rugby
Rugby is about respect for your teammates, your opponent and the referee. Children learn these values with us from their very first training session. Players, parents and coaches all follow the club's code of conduct.
Read the code of conduct →The role of parents
Cheer from the sideline, but leave the coaching to the coaches. Help with driving to away matches and tournaments. Make sure your child is on time, and let the team know in good time if they cannot come. Questions or comments go to the coach or the coordinator of the age group.
Training schedule
Each age group trains at fixed times. All times and pitches are in the training schedule.

Safety
We pay close attention to both physical and social safety. Because rugby is a contact sport, player welfare always comes first. We are very strict, for example, when a concussion is suspected. All our coaches have a certificate of good conduct (VOG), and our confidential contact persons are available to all members.
Membership fees
All fees are on the Join page.
